WESTERN AIRCRAFT ANNOUNCES EXPANSION PLANS

Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced today that it is embarking on a facility expansion plan.  Two new buildings totaling 26,000 square feet are being added on the company’s 18 acre leasehold.  The buildings will hold an expanded parts facility and support shops for Western Aircraft’s services operation.

“We are very excited to increase our footprint here in Boise,” said President of Western Aircraft Jeff Mihalic.  “This expansion is driven in large part by the 2012 sales tax exemption bill passed by the Idaho legislature as well as by our expanded capabilities and market reach.”

Mihalic noted that 95 percent of Western Aircraft’s customers are based outside of the state of Idaho, flying their aircraft into Boise from as far away as Philadelphia and San Antonio.

The company currently boasts approximately 95,000 square feet of hangar space and employs approximately 170 people.

A groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the new facilities will be held May 29, 2013.
